Is BoxB really free?
Yes — completely free during beta. No account, no card, no trial timer. When paid plans arrive later, beta users will hear it from us first.
Can BoxB read my messages?
No. BoxB is a container: each service runs in its own isolated session on your machine, exactly like it would in a browser. No cloud sync, no telemetry, nothing leaves your computer.
How do the AI features work?
Bring your own Anthropic API key (set it once in the tray menu). Only the text you explicitly select or type into an AI feature is sent to Anthropic — never your messages, sessions, or files. No key? Everything else works normally.
How many accounts can I add?
Unlimited. Five WhatsApp numbers, three Gmails, two Slacks — every instance gets its own tile, its own login, its own isolated session.
What about macOS and Linux?
On the roadmap. BoxB is built on a cross-platform foundation; Windows simply ships first. Watch the changelog.
How do updates work?
Silently, from GitHub Releases. BoxB downloads updates in the background and asks before restarting. You never reinstall by hand.
